Yay! It’s Friday!

I watched Skyfall recently (despite all the bad reviews) and I can’t help but being attracted to the beautiful dress worn by Bérénice Marlohe in one of the casino scene in Macau.

Backless Dress

The gown features a sheer body covered with tattoo-effect transfers, a corseted bodice and floor-length satin skirt with sheer side panels – all covered in glitter Swarovski crystals… Ahh… it’s so beautifully sexy~  While I watched, I secretly wish that I can own and wear a dress like this after I gave birth :)

And then I started imagine, wouldn’t it be nice if I could have some qualities of a bond girl too! Throughout the years, bond girls have evolved from vain pretty girls to independent, smart and bold characters. They not only in control of their own lives, they are good in manipulating men surrounding them.

Just the thought of it makes me all excited already…

1. Stay pretty with minimal time

Impeccable is the word. They always look polished, however they don’t need a lot of time preparing themselves. To accomplish this, routine maintenance is very important. Feed yourself well, care for your skin and treat your hair nicely and you won’t need too much time to dress up for your next mission. To the bond girls, completing a mission is more important than appearance. Afterall, Bond has no time to wait for you to change your outfit, touch up your make up or arrange your hair :)

2. Body building

Bond girls are all dashing and fearless. So you should move a little and start toning up your body! Boxing, Pilates, Yoga or any kind of martial arts would be a good start to train up your muscle and shape your body curves.

3. Be brave

Bond girls cannot be timid. You can try to be more adventurous in your daily life by starting to look for excitements and challenges! Try something new, eat something different and do something that you have not done before~ It would make you a more interesting person to be with :)

4. Put on your bitch face

Be arrogant and show some attitude. It is very important to get Mr. Bond thinking how to win your heart and competing to seek your attention. Sometimes a princess, sometimes a queen; it’s part of the art of seduction~

Bond girls don’t depend or rely on men. Don’t call your man 5 times a day or track his activities. Be independent and spend some quality time upgrading yourself. In the movies, Bond girls appeared to be not interested in Bond at all, and it attracts him more that way!! ( – . – man…)

One of the quality every girl should possess. It includes one’s tastefulness, beauty appreciation capacity and education. My suggestion would be, read more books, well aware of the current news, speak softly and groom yourself well.

How To Make Your Wife Beautiful?

Very often Kelvin would come home and tell me something like this: You know, my friends ask me what’s your profession, they say you look like celebrity, very beautiful :)

Looking at the happy smile on his face, I couldn’t help but think:

Am I “that” beautiful?

In fact, I honestly don’t think I am!

I have a very ordinary looking face, living a very ordinary life and a very ordinary skincare regimen. The only thing is different about me, I think, is a very special man that gives loving compliments to me everyday.

Compliments boost a person’s confidence to a whole new level. And if you’ve been getting positive comments on a daily basis, you tends to believe it’s true! And just when you believe it’s true, IT’S TRUE!! And when you are filled with confident, you are beautiful! That explains why normal-looking celebrities become more attractive and beautiful as time goes by! It’s the law of attraction, as simple as that!

Of course, it involves a lot of love too. Just like flowers, you have to give them water and fertilizer for them to turn into beautiful bloom. For women, love is the water and compliments are fertilizer!

So guys, the next time when your gf/wife asks you how do they look that day, please tell them they are the loveliest girl you’ve ever seen. Especially when they are feeling insecure about themselves (such as during pregnancy/when they wear make up/ when they don’t wear make up/when they are sick/ when they wear something they don’t normally wear…etc), please tell them they look gorgeous and you love them no matter how they look! Let me give you an example here:

Scenario 1

Girl: I’m so fat! <—I am pretty sure you get this all the times~

Boyfriend 1: I have told you not to wear this dress, your legs look like elephant’s!

(This definitely not going to help her at all! In fact, it will turn her legs into elephant-like legs and she probably will not wear dress anymore!)

Scenario 2

Girl: I’m so fat!

Boyfriend 2: I can’t see anything, I’m blinded by your beauty.

(Although she might know he’s lying, but she has got assurance that the man likes her as she is! And she will become better in carrying herself~)

The answer to making your wife beautiful is not about sponsoring her liposculpture sessions or sending her to aesthetic clinic for some face-works. It’s all about COMPLIMENTS.

Yes, I repeat, COMPLIMENTS!

So, if you are a girl wanting to look more beautiful, please train your boyfriend/husband to compliment you everyday no matter how you look like. And if you are a guy who wants to have a beautiful wife, please shower her with the most beautiful words you can ever think of! (If you don’t have anything good to say, just shut up and smile~)

How To Be More Photogenic?

I have been receiving compliments on my make up on my birthday and some said I am “photogenic”! (Wow~)

Today I wanna share with you a new technique that I have recently becoming “brave enough” to try on:

Contouring~

Contouring uses highlight and shadows to create different depths on the face, such as making your eyes bigger, face smaller, nose smaller and pointier :)

I am still not sure if I should show this picture of mine :D

Here I used highlights on my brow bones, under the eyes and down the center of the nose.

And shadows on the side of the nose (to make it appear smaller), below the cheekbone :)

Then I blend them nicely so that it appears to be natural. I then top it with minimal loose powder.

I notice that the effects come out to be more obvious when pictures’ taken using a camera. It appears to be really “normal” in real life when people look at you with naked eyes…

Always remember that the ultimate accessory to be photogenic is confidence.

Under the hard focus of the lens, it’s easy to let your insecurities bubble to the surface.

People tend to show tension across their brow and mouth. An easy way to relax these muscles is to smile real wide and release, then raise your brows nice and high and release. ~Lathrop
