I am always busy.
Ever since I have two children and decided to keep my day job, I have to up my time management skill to a new level.
How do I do it?
Well, I spend a lot of time thinking and planning. Having a schedule and a To-Do list really helps me to be more productive and able to finish important things that can help to produce results. To be more specific, before I start the day, I would listed down all the things I want to do on that particular day, and I would do it one by one according to its priority. Then I would use the “extra” time in between (for example the time when I was waiting for my coffee, or the time when I was queuing in the bank, or the time I spend in the car being chauffeured from one destination to the next) to do some thinking, planning or for leisure. For example,
WHEN I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO WEAR TO THE PARTY OR EVENT
I love to learn the latest makeup styles and techniques through various online makeup tutorials, my personal pick would be Pony and Michelle Phan. This approach is particularly useful when I have upcoming functions or events to attend. Thanks to Youtube and all the talented makeup artists, a 4-5 minutes makeup tutorial is all I need to come up with new makeup inspirations.
WHEN I NEED THE MARKETING KNOWLEDGE FOR THE UPCOMING PROJECT
I would watch marketing related videos to learn about the new things or techniques that could be useful and that I have not known. My top pick would Neil Patel.
WHEN IT’S TIME TO PREPARE MEALS FOR THE FAMILY
If you happen to be the one preparing meals for your family, you should know that drafting menu could cause major headache, especially if your household is full of picky eaters @.@ Therefore, when I am writing my menu for the week, I always like to search online for inspirations to fix simple and nice meals. Nowadays, recipes are being shown in a less than one minute videos, such as Tastemade and DayDayCook, it makes cooking so much more interesting and dynamic than before.
WHEN THE LATEST EPISODE OF MY BELOVED KOREAN DRAMA HAS BEEN RELEASED
Recently I have been following the Korean drama [The Legend Of The Blue Sea]. Both main characters, Lee Min-Ho and Jun Ji-Hyun are my favourite, therefore I would utilize every bit of my “extra” time to watch the latest episode when it’s being released every Wednesday and Thursday.
